MARY JANE CAROTHERS

Vice President – Quality Improvement & Clinical Affairs, Iowa Health Care Association

 

Mary Jane Carothers, RN, LNHA, ALMC is the Vice President, Quality Improvement & Clinical Services for Iowa Health Care Association.

Mary Jane works closely with the IHCA and ICAL Quality Improvement Committees.

Mary Jane Carothers

She is knowledgeable regarding issues related to quality improvement,
regulatory compliance and clinical practice in postͲacute care settings.

Mary Jane is a registered nurse, a licensed nursing home administrator, certified
assisted living manager, and a former clinical manager for a home health agency with many years of provider experience.

Her responsibilities also include assisting IHCA/ICAL members with the AHCA Quality Initiative, the AHCA Quality Awards Program, and other state and national
efforts which promote improved quality of clinical practice and improved quality of life for the consumers that IHCA/ICAL members serve.

Mary Jane has attended, Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing, Des Moines Area Community College and University of St Francis.

 

We are very proud of Mary Jane Carothers, and we hope that her hard work is a Legacy to all Carruthers.

Marion F Carruthers

He was born July 28, 1910, in Ottumwa, the son of Byron E. and Hattie V. Dailey Carruthers.  He has been a lifetime resident of Ottumwa, Iowa.

He was married to Esther Orman on Sept. 21, 1938 in Lancaster, Mo.

Together they had three daughters and one son.

A native veteran of WWII, he entered the service April 6, 1944, in Ottumwa and was discharged Dec. 10, 1945, in Minneapolis.

It is believed that Marion served in the United States Navy during WWII.

Marion F. Carruthers, 60, of 828 Boone, died today at 5 am at his home, following a long illness.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Donald H. Orman, of Ottumwa; three daughter, Mrs Linda Lazenby, Fayetteville, Ark.; Mrs. Sandra Rauch, Hedrick; and Mrs. Marilyn Cooksey, Ottumwa; 12 grandchildren.  One brother, LeRoy Carruthers, of Ottumea; four sisters, Mrs. Helen William, Mrs. Wilma Barker and Mrs. Faye Arnold, all of Ottumwa; and Mrs. Lucinda Russell, of Gardena, Calif.  He was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy and by three brothers and one sister.

Wilson Wesley Carrothers

When Wilson Wesley Carrothers was born on November 3, 1895, in Delaware, Iowa, his father, James, was 27 and his mother, Catherine A Robinson .

He married Lelia M Williamson and they had one daughter together.

On June 1, 1917 Wilson registered for the WWI draft.  He was just a student at the time.

In December 1918 Wilson was injured and sent home to recover.

When Pearl Harbor was bombed, he was 47 years old, and registered for the draft again,

He died on November 20, 1981, in Jacksonville, Texas, at the age of 86, and was buried there.
